Overview
Recombinantly expressed beta-glucuronidase variant sourced from Brachyspira pilosicoli hydrolyzes the glucuronic acid conjugate from phase II and other metabolites. The engineered B. pilosicoli variant has up to 50-fold increased activity on several recalcitrant substrates relative to the wild-type enzyme1. This enzyme has broad activity over a wide pH range (5.5 to 8.0) and is ideal for metabolomics research of known or unknown glucuronidated analytes.

*Enzyme activity was determined using the generic beta-glucuronidase substrate 4-methylumbelliferone (4-MUG). One unit activity is defined as 1.0 µmole 4-MUG hydrolyzed per minute at pH 6.5 and 24 °C (λexcitation: 365 nm and λemission: 445 nm)
**Enzyme solution is stable for at least 12 months at 2-8 °C when stored in its original packaging.
