Overview
Sulfazyme™ PaS (EC 3.1.6.1) is a purified recombinant arylsulfatase. The sequence is from Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Sulfazyme hydrolyzes sulfate groups from metabolites that have been sulfated as part of phase II detoxification in the liver.

*One unit is equivalent to 1.0 micromole of p-nitrocatechol sulfate (pNCS) hydrolyzed per minute at pH 8.0 and 25 °C.
**Enzyme solution is stable at 2–8 °C for at least 6 months after receipt. The original formulation supports long-term storage. Diluting the enzyme may reduce stability. Do not exceed three freeze–thaw cycles.
